How to Play

Clue Clash is designed to be simple, engaging, and fun for all ages. Each round presents a set of clues, all leading to a single correct answer.

After reading a clue, you can submit a guess. A correct guess earns you points, while an incorrect guess lets you reveal the next clue for a lower score. The round continues until you guess correctly or run out of clues.

Clue Clash offers multiple ways to play, allowing you to tailor the experience to your style. Below are the three official game modes:

Standard Mode

2+ Players

1

Gather the group of 2 or more players you'd like to play with.

2

Choose one player to start the round and select a set of clues.

3

The group reveals one clue at a time to the active player.

4

The player may make one guess per clue before the next clue is revealed.

5

If the player guesses correctly, they earn the points assigned to that clue. If they guess incorrectly, the next clue is revealed, reducing the possible points. The round continues until they guess correctly or all clues have been used. Keep track of scores using a notepad or digital scoreboard.

6

Once the round is over, the next player takes their turn. Continue rotating turns until the group decides to end the game.

7

At the end of the game, add up each player’s points to determine the winner.

Competitive Mode

3+ Players

1

Gather a group of three or more players.

2

Choose one player to be the clue-giver for the round, and select a set of clues.

3

The clue-giver reveals one clue at a time to the rest of the group.

4

Each player (except the clue-giver) may make one guess per clue before the next clue is revealed. The clue-giver does not confirm or deny any guesses until all players have made their guess.

5

If a player guesses correctly, they earn the points assigned to that clue. If multiple players guess correctly, the one who answered first wins the points. If all players guess incorrectly, the next clue is revealed, reducing the available points. The round continues until a player guesses correctly or all clues are used. Keep track of scores using a notepad or digital scoreboard.

6

Once the round is over, the next player becomes the clue-giver and selects a new set of clues. Continue rotating turns until the group decides to end the game.

7

At the end of the game, add up each player's points to determine the winner.

Team Mode

4+ Players

1

Split into two or more teams with an equal number of players if possible.

2

Choose one team to start the round. The opposing team selects a set of clues.

3

The opposing team reveals one clue at a time. The guessing team discusses and decides on a single guess before the next clue is revealed.

4

The team may submit one guess per clue. If they guess incorrectly, the next clue is revealed, and the possible points decrease.

5

If the team guesses correctly, they earn the points assigned to that clue. If they do not guess correctly after all clues are revealed, they score no points for the round. Keep track of scores for each team using a notepad or digital scoreboard.

6

Once the round is over, the next team takes their turn with a new set of clues. Continue alternating turns until the group decides to end the game.

7

At the end of the game, add up each team’s points. The team with the highest score wins.

Solo Mode

1 Player

1

Select a set of clues to begin.

2

Reveal one clue at a time.

3

Enter your guess in the input field. Since Solo Mode is automated, the system will strictly determine whether an answer is correct. Unlike multiplayer modes where the clue-giver has discretion, your answer must closely match the expected response to be accepted.

4

If your guess is correct, you earn the corresponding points. If incorrect, reveal the next clue and guess again. Continue until you find the correct answer or run out of clues. Keep track of your score using a notepad or digital tracker.

5

Challenge yourself by setting a personal high score, playing a set number of rounds, or timing yourself for an extra challenge!
